i was mostly just curious if you can, i kinda gave up on the soap for now and went with creams but i have been getting better at lathering.

Well the only thing I can say is that I would jjunk the merkur blade but you learned the hard waywhen I'm done with my blade sampler I'm going to try treets as well

I was just using the bowl as a place to load the brush then i face lather. I will difenetly practice more. with just crappy lather I made I got a better shave then with the canned goo I was using.

well i just used it the brush was easy to use lost like 6 hairs first use and the soap i couldn't get it to work for me i guess i didn't quite get all the excess water out of the brush or i just need to practice more

So I'm still on the hunt for my first shaving brush and a thought occurred in my mind should the shape of the handle be of cocern for a beginner. What are your thoughts?

the oil your talking about is probably safe and its sanitize and i just run the blade under the water before each shave.

beshaved welcome to SMF. what de razor do have?, are you using a blade sampler pack?. take your time and us a light touch because DE shaving well cut you if you ignore those two guidelines

i heard that the soap was pretty much trash but can teach you how use a brush. i mostly just want the brush and bowl

Finally!!! no cuts with these blades and no pulling and tugging with no irritation.all i had to do is add a few drops of pre-shave oil and i'm set. and i'm up to 4 shaves with the blade this time.

Well I started the part of my blade testing where I use preshave oil and definitely help with the pulling and tugging sensation I always got with these blades

at least the micro touch one can get a better shave then a cartridge and hopefully get people to switch like it did for me

well i just finished my third shave with another lords classic blade and it went a lot better these couple times then the last blade.still have a little bit of pulling and tugging sensation with them but no irration.

as this is my first time using lord classics i well probably change how i feel about them later on, but my first impressions is it's great for lighter beard areas but not for thicker areas i loved the audio feedback i got from them compared to the derby's and i only cut my chin once instead like 2-3...
