I have had a Tabac jar over a month. The scent is now almost vanished. Definately not strong anymore. The lid allows the soap to evaporate the scent so if the soap lasts a year and smells only 1 month, I think here is a lot bashing on that scent that is there only for a very short time. In fact that...

Nivea gel has a few drawbacks. It dries on skin quite fast and then it will become hard to move the razor. It also gets on your razor, leaving there a thin layer that needs to be cleaned with a toothbrush if wanting to have a new shiny look back. I prefer now Tabac soap that softens the whiskers eve...

I alternate between my Merkur 34C and Triflexxx. They r...

It is rather a hobby for me too. I am lucky that I have always been able to use electric razors (Braun type), cartridge razors and now also DE one. After month and a half I can get as close shaves as with my 3 blade cartridge razor, so I have no need to use it and also seldom use it. But there is no...

I doubt many things from the original posters thread. First of all Gillette Platinums are my all around blades. They are available as the only ones here locally, but they are also sharp and good. And of a good quality. Also I think my whiskers are thick and so need a good moisturization and lathering...
