We're into the English Fern now, until around the first month of May. Something to look forward to, every day. 8)

Rooney Emillion 2 Porcelain-Jade Finest (26/54)
Penhaligon's Castile shaving cream (vintage)
Wolfman WR2-SB/WRH1
Schick Plus Platinum (2)
Penhaligon's Castile aftershave (vintage)

An excellent shave with some favorite components.  The razor is a bit too heavy for me but very smooth and efficient.

Got up early today, had some occasions to be out and around today for Necessities, had a very nice shave to put me on the road feeling good about my appearance, and I always enjoy my shave!

The English Fern puck is not quite halfway gone, following 40 shaves. Some guys find the scent a bit off-putting, but it doesn't bother me. I tend to become semi-immune to the scents of soaps after using the same one for repetitive days on end. Penhaligon's was stupid to discontinue their soaps, regardless of scent. I think Blenheim Bouquet was a good one.

After this morning's shave, there's one more day of English Fern soap and it goes back into the box until next year. Making room for Sunday's forty days of Castle Forbes Cedarwood & Sandalwood. I think I'll go with the Manchurian Rooney instead of the SilkSmoke for a while.

If you think I'm gonna sing a song
You're right, I am
That's how uptight I am
Since you've been gone I got the blues
Don't know what else to do
But sing a song of losin' you
And maybe one of these days I'll find
The garbage can I'm lookin' for
And throw myself away

Throw myself away
Take me to the dump
Toss me on the heap
And in a week I'll smell so bad
Anyone comin' to see me
Will have to hold their nose
But you'll come out like you always do
Smellin' like a rose

Today was the first Friday with the nearly depleted tub of Castle Forbes cream and the Manchurian Rooney brush. These two seem to be a very effective matchup. When this one runs out in the next few days, there's a brand new tub ready to go the full distance.

Same setup as last Friday's luxurious shave - it's a joy using Castle Forbes and the Manchurian Rooney every day.

Well, ho hum, another great Friday (every day) shave with the Rooney Manchurian and the CF CS. Today was #22 on the Schick blade.

New to the Friday's Shave venue this week is the excellent Taylor's Sandalwood cream, paired with the big Rooney silvertip brush.

Today's Friday shave was the last day (this year) of the Taylor's Peppermint cream, which will be replaced tomorrow for a few days with the Taylor's Cedarwood cream. This was the 26th daily shave with the Kai Captain Original blade in the General, which will yield temporarily to one of a dozen or more straight razors selected for random use throughout the month of July.
