In honour of our fearless leader

Post by fallingwickets »

Todays shave couldnt have happened without a lot of thoughts of Chris, especially as today is transplant day. Keeping everything crossed for a good outcome

I'm still here, transplant in after eight days' chemo, and counts falling rapidly. The crunch will be next week when I am reliant on transfused blood and platelets, and will probably get septic, but after that things are supposed to get better!

Chris, wonderful to hear from you! You and your family continue to be on my mind during this time.

I know you're not a religious man, but I hope you don't mind if I pray for you as you continue undergoing treatment.
Regards,
Tim

I haven't been here in a while, I've had a rough last 4 months as I lost my wife to cancer.
Chris, I wish you all the best and I'll be thinking of you.

Bruno, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I hope you are able to find some peace in what must be an awful and difficult time. Please let us know if there's anything we can do.

Chris, glad to hear from you again. Rage, rage, friend.

Bruno, I offer you my heartfelt condolences. It sounds like you have, indeed, had a heart-wrenching few months.

May your grief, in its own time, yield to peace.

Thank you guys, I appreciate it very much. I'll try to pop in as much as I can but my life is totally flipped upside down.

Clive, thank you for the reminder. When I finish typing, I intend to just pause everything for a minute and reflect on Chris, his kindness, his humor, and this journey he is on. I go back a long way with Chris and even Gordon, and having met Gordon, it would be a privilege to be able to meet up with Chris in real time.
