An even rarer TI than the SRP commemorative razor, this was TI's first damascus made in a batch of only five razors for senior figures at the SRP Yahoo group. I didn't get one then, but bought this later from John Crowley for an eye-watering amount (twice that of any custom I have). Used with homemade soap, a Jagger brush (probably a D.R.Harris in disguise) and Trumper's Curzon:

Another extremely hard razor that is responding to the repeated attentions of the black Arkansas, a Wacker Neun Achtel Limited, made of Mieden damascus and blonde horn, or as it is known to its friends, The Wacker From Hell. It now shaves like a pussy cat, purring as it does. I don't expect it to need rehoning for half a century at least, given the sky high Rockwell hardness it must have. The brush is an old one, a silvertip from Dovo, with hooked tips but really loosely packed. Makes lots of lather but applying it is like 'being flogged with a wet noodle'. Homemade soap and Trumper's Marlborough.

Today's razor is the 5/8 TI damascus that was their first commercial damascus. Plainly hand-forged from the irregularities, it has an exceedingly fine pattern-welded surface and is very hard. I'm not so sure about the 'rustic' horn scales but that's how it came. The brush is one of Simpson's less well known efforts, as it comes only in Pure Badger; the Beaufort B6. I'll see if a good long soak will make it less prickly. Soap will be the usual homemade stuff and followed with Trumper's Portugal.
