The Shave Tutor Videos Return!

Post by mantic »

I'm baaaaaaack! After a too-long hiatus, I've starting making shaving videos again. I just posted this to youtube, "How To Shave Under Your Nose" (oriented to beginners):

Very nicely done, as usual, Mark. Thanks.

I just wet my face with water, and then rub my face with the alum block. After that, I rinse my face again and then dry my face with a towel. After that, I apply aftershave or aftershave balm, if I am going to use any that day. If I had a good shave (i.e. 99.99% of the time), it makes my face feel taut and good. Alum is an astringent, after all. If I had a really bad, irritating shave, the alum block will sting for about 5-10 seconds, after which it makes my face feel much better and soothes the irritation.
