Which straight razor did you use today?

Use a straight. You know it makes sense.

Fisher Stainless
Wickham English Rose
homemade synthetic

Great shave this morning. I think I'll give this brush a little more loft before I use it again. Have a good one.

Today's straight razor of choice was the SSA - Eskelstuna 6/8. I believe it's a half hollow from Sweden. See the photo in the following post. It's the black handle razor.

This morning's razor was the Rugby, silver steel. It's old and gray like me, and it takes and holds a great edge. Seems to be a full hollow grind.

Happy Independence Day, everyone! This morning's razor was the Friodur 6/8 full hollow stainless. One of the best, and the edge is great.

This morning I shaved with my ancient Greaves & Sons Sheaf-Works near-wedge. It's a stubtail from the 19th century in the original scales and pins, and overall in very good condition.

Today's razor was the Torrey. We can see it was oiled before I took the picture.

Very nice, and I bet it's a good shaver. Very early 19th century too.

Getting back to the straight razors after a couple of days letting the skin rest, today's razor was the Red Imp Wedge.

This morning's straight razor was the Frederick Reynolds Sheffield razor. Another old near-wedge. It was comfortable to hold and to use.

Today's Sunday morning straight razor was the Filarmonica Novodur 14. Big full hollow razor that loudly proclaims every whisker it may encounter.

I'm not supposed to buy any more razors, but I was tempted to pick up a big No.13 Filarmonica, which is on the way.

Today's razor was the heavy and beautiful work of art from Joseph Rodgers & Sons - Sheffield wedge. Restored by Glen (gssixgun) in faux turtle.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe the "& Sons" was added in 1871. This one might be somewhere around 150 years old. It's a bit of a stubtail which gives credence to the earlier razors.

Razor #11 in this month's straight razor shaving vacation is the Wade & Butcher Celebrated "hollow", even though it's a near wedge. It had some rust pitting on the spine/tip, but nothing wrong with the edge. It was also restored by Glen a few years ago. Now it's polished and snug in the scales. It's a pleasure to own and to use on occasion.

The Boker King Cutter was today's choice. I didn't have to resort to multiple razors to get the job done. Two full lather passes and no nicks or cuts. That's what it's all about!

Tuesday morning - the Puma Inox razor was on top of it's performance today. Didn't need to use a safety razor for backup. Results were just as I anticipated, considering the recent honing on the Arkansas stones.

The 15th and final straight razor for this month's razor vacation is the polished Hart 6/8 round tip. Felt good on the face. I'm glad I bought this one when I had the chance.
