Source for Gillette Silver Blue blades ?

Let's talk about single and double edged razors and the blades that they use.

Source for Gillette Silver Blue blades ?

Post by slackskin »

Does anyone have a recommendation on a source for Gillette Silver Blue blades? I am concerned about counterfeit blades coming from Amazon (and perhaps other sources too). The other sources I found are pretty expensive. So hoping for a better source for legit GSBs. Thank you.

for curiosity, how much did they cost in the past.....has there been a big price increase lately?

I bought some gillette platinums from bullgoose a few months ago for about $2/blade. your silvers seem like a bargain

Clive - for me the GSB is a great blade. My concern is being attracted by a low price and finding that the blades are counterfeit. I'm looking for a reliable source of genuine GSBs at a reasonable price. IMO, $40-45 per hundred is not reasonable. Ama*** has them at $22 but there have been reports of counterfeits

As much as I dislike Amazon, if you get what you think are counterfeits, or even if they seem real but don't shave as well as you expected, you can get a full refund, even possibly without having to return anything.

I also just spotted them at Italian Barber on sale for 3¢ each:
https://www.italianbarber.com/products/ ... 100-blades

They also sell smaller quantities than 100.

West Coast Shaving has them for $2.49 for 5 or $33.99 for 100.

Bullgoose Shaving has them for $2.75 for 5 or $35.00 for 100.
