Tuesday
September 11th, a tragic day that changed the world and all of our lives, but especially and most horribly the lives of the people involved. I think, the thoughts of every single one of us are with the families of the victims of this dreadful day, who have suffered and experienced tremendous loss on this day in September six years ago.
Remembering this earthshattering event just makes you realize how lucky one is and that one should cherish every moment with one's family.
Razor: Merkur Slant
Blade: German Wilkinson Sword (second time)
Brush: Muehle
Cream: Tabac
After Shave: Floid Italiano
Today I tried the Tabac shave cream for the first time. I was not sure, if I would like the scent when I took a sniff after opening the tube. But when I lathered the cream on my face, I not only liked it very much, it also brought back memories of my childhood. And at this moment, I just smiled at myself in the mirror, because I realized, that this was the exact same cream my grandfather, who passed away nine years ago, always used to shave with. And I remembered how, when I was little, he had me in his arms and how his skin smelled of Tabac.
So not only do I like the manly scent of it, but from now on, whenever I'll use it, I'll remember my grandfather and how we used to play and tussle in jest, because when my grandfather was my age, he was a boxer and we sometimes had some little "show fights", but nothing serious I assure you, my grandpa was just a great guy.

Schick Adjustable/Pella DB blade
Rooney Super 1/1 Horn
T&H Rose
Lucky Tiger Tonic
Crusella's Lavanda
I lathered the cream in my hand to begin, and then finished the lathering on my face. This gave me the ideal lather. I like to lather on my face, so with creams I often begin by putting the cream on my face and then lathering up. With a more dense cream such as T&H I often end up with something too protective, and a not so close shave. Doing it this way with the cream in my hand gave me a much more satisfactory lather.

Dominic, It was that smear it on one's face and try to lather it up that turned me off to creams for another two years, before I learned to lather them up in my palm first ( I use a bowl today ). I think it was D R Harris's cream that I was using, and I thought, "...the hell with THIS!...", and went back to hard soaps. So, I hear you.
Tuesday:
Gillette Superspeed & Swedish Gillette blade
Plisson #14 EW
Trumpers Rose hard shaving soap
D R Harris's A/S Milk ( old )
Trumpers Spanish Leather

Just performed my first DE shave.
I am impressed by the end result. Not perfectly tight this time, but I expect that to change as I get more experience.
Pre-Shave: Hot Towel
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable 1965 (set to #4). It was NOS earlier today...
Blade: NOS Gillette
Brush: Badger (NoName brush bought in Turkey)
Soap/Cream: Arko Shaving Soap
After-Shave: Vaseline 98% Aloe Vera Gel

Tuesday:
HD w/ Derby
Taylor's avacado
Col. Conk pure badger
GFT Coral skin food
Musgo Real Balsam
Chrome
I am about 2-3 mos. into DE wet shaving now. I have found that I have come to a place where I can shave every day with little to no irritation and no ingrowns. A virtual miracle from my standpoint. I'm loving every shave!
