Ameet, I asked this question recently on "the other forum" and found out that if you go to Shavemac's order page and click on " more info" you'll pull up a page that has both the blond and darker color. Just click on the various brushes that are shown and you'll pull up one to see the darker color. I think that will be my choice if I order one and I probably will.

Hi Ameet,
If you go to the order page on Shavemac's web site and once there select the magnifying glass on the center bottom that says more info......it will provide a couple of photo's that should represent the colors available.....
http://www.shavemac.com/index.php?lang= ... duct=22740#
Please note that each handle will be different as these are natural materials and no 2 handles will be exactly the same.
Hope that helps.
Best,
Neale

Please give me your opinions...
This will be my second brush.. Mostly creams.. I am going to order a bulb in blond. Just waiting for some opinions on the engraving.

Hello.
I have had a few folks tell me they will be getting there brushes engraved without the logo....I think the brush looks great either way and Shavemacs engraving work is top notch...
I asked Shavemac to put the logos on mine as they match the others in my collection and I like the Shavemac logo
I think it really comes down to personal tastes though.
Best,
Neale

Going in
It will be a Dark/Fan. What does the Shavemac hair compare to. Is it more like the Savile Row?.. Extremely soft tips?

I like the dimensions of the brush. I had a 23mm and wanted a bigger one. 25mm knot is great and the shorter loft (this is 50mm I think vs 60 for the standard) would keep the knot from splaying open as much as the 23mm I had. However, I wonder if Bernd would do one in one of his regular handles rather than horn and if so, if he could count that as part of the number for the group buy? Im asking so that you can contact him and he not get confused, but you would get credit for my brush purchase to apply to the discount. I know the 23mm handles ones are around $109, so this brush is a great deal as it is a bigger knot, and a better material for the handle. Since I shave in the shower, a natural horn would get dropped and I would hate to see what would happen
PM me if that helps. Also, I am selling a brush to fund this one

Hi,
I was asked about the weight of these brushes...I weighed my horn handled brushes and a Shavemac #177 for comparison....
These are weighed completely dry on a digital scale.....
Black Horn Handled 22mm, 50mm Loft Pure....... 62 grams or 2.21oz
Blond Horn Handled 23mm, 50mm Loft Silvertip....63 grams or 2.25oz
Shavemac # 177 23mm, 60mm loft Silvertip........65 grams or 2.32oz
They weight slightly less than the # 177 60mm lofted resin / plastic handled version..
I hope that helps
Also, from my readings on horn material, it is quite durable and should easily last a lifetime with proper care.
I believe we are round the 40 brushes sold mark now, I will try and get a confirmation on the numbers.
Thank you,
Neale
