My trip in Alsace
Can you point to a tutorial on how to do that?Lyrt wrote:Tilt-shift effect. It makes everything look like miniature.

Here’s my last contribution to this thread.
This photograph has nothing special except you can see people in it, which proves I didn’t kill everybody just to take my pictures. And they take photographs too.
This one came out better than I expected. Oh well. HDR is a drug.

Yukio, great stuff, as always. Have you thought of what you are getting? That D70 is sure a good piece, I too had one. The D40 made it obsolete for anyone buying new lens, but it is still one hell of a camera, considering it can auto focus mostly any lens made since the 70's.Lyrt wrote:Murray, thank you very much. I’m happy you like them.
Mat, I have an antique Nikon D70 coupled with a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5,6, a 18-70mm f/3,5-4,5 kit lens and a superior Nikon 105mm f/2.8 macro lens. All the photos above were taken with the Sigma. I’ll probably upgrade my D70 in June.
By the way, my vote for your next cam goes to the D300. You will really appreciate it.
Thank you, John!
I disagree about the D40 making the D70 obsolete. Sure, the D40 is more compact and has a 6MP sensor too, but it lacks a DoF preview button, its auto-focus system is weaker and it can’t control a remote flash. Above all, it has no front control wheel.
I’m supposed to buy the D300 in a fortnight.

HDR?
pardon my stupidity, what is HDR? I'm not educated in the ways of Photoshop yet.
thanks!
The photos are a joy to look at.
