What is your opinion on fine shaving creams and hard soaps? Do you like Trumpers, Coates, Taylors, Truefitt & Hill? Post your reviews and opinions here!
They're both top rate, both in terms of performance and scent. Personally, I believe the Harris soaps have a slight edge over the Trumper soaps, but both are excellent. Scent wise, only you can really decide which one you prefer.
I agree with Gareth, except he missed out the all important phrase - "buy both".

Oh, and I know it's not about scent, but Harris lavender is my favourite scent for soap of all the soaps I've sniffed.
But buy both.

I too give the edge, in terms of soap, to Harris lavender. Its scent is better; performance, too. Both are superb, but I use Harris lavender far more (so much so that I traded the Trumper).

I hadn't really thought about it but a quick check reveals I have twice as many cakes of Harris soaps than Trumpers so I guess that answers it for me. Tone to answer your question get both.

But what's the answer? This could mean that Harris is better because you decided to buy more, or it could mean that Trumpers is better because you started with just as much but used half of it already!
I'm a big fan of both Trumper and Harris soaps. When I first tried Harris soaps my Trumpers went unused for quite a while.
But, get both...

I have less Harris than Trumper. Because there are less scents of Harris than Trumper.

Umm...well...let'see....I currently have four cakes of Trumpers and one of Harris's. So, obviously, I use the Trumpers more. Partly because some of the Harris's soaps don't seem entirely simpatico with my skin, or at least they haven't in the past. Which ever. They are both superlative shaving soaps.
