My New Razor Stand

Post by BullGoose »

I have only been wet shaving for about three weeks but I have already come down with a severe case of Acquisition Disorder. Before plunging into wet shaving, I bought a starter kit that included a Merker HD, a Vulfix brush and a stand. Three weeks later I have four DE razors and that old stand is no longer sufficient.

I searched Ebay and picked up this old pipe stand for less than $12 shipped.

Looks like a nice one. Good find. Now you just have to find a way to limit yourself to those four razors!

One rarely can, besides it's easier and more fun to give in. :)

I'm shocked, Bull, absolutely shocked! This certainly didn't happen to any of the rest of us. Don't worry, it will pass :bull

LOL!!! You won't get any sympathy from me - I once bought 52 razors in one DAY!
It was a good day for vintage razors what can I say.

What the heck - lets just keep mixin' stuff together till it blows up or smells REALLY bad!!

I found this thread that may interest you:

There was another where I showed another way I stored my razors (a modified fishing lure box) but I can't find it. When I get home tonight I may take a photo of it again and post it...

Bull,

You've just started to learn the meaning AD. Good luck with that...

The pipe stand not only is the classiest stand you can buy, but since they were designed for pipes, and not test tubes, ink stamps, or spice jars, most are spaced to accommodate a razor's head such that you don't have to stagger them perpendicular to each other, or sort them one up / one down. A lot of experience and $ went into my ability to make this statement!

You will now develop PSAD (Pipe Stand Acquisition Disorder). One won't be enough to handle your RAD.

Good to hear from you too, my friend. I shared with Murray that I just accepted a new pastorate, so things have been busy for a little while. The church I was speaking with back in SEP was a no go. It was for the best though. I am still working as a Rodeo Chaplain as well. I haven't closed the door on my Bullfighting/Rodeo Clown training though. Just had to postpone it for a little while.
