Going up to two shaves a week with the Body Shop cream, but my face can't take shaves this close more often than that.

  • Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
  • Brush: Knotty Badger refurbished with silvertip Every Ready 300
  • Soap: MWF
  • Razor: '48 Gillette Super Speed
  • Blade: Treet Classic Dura Sharp coated (shave 2)
  • Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
  • A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & Nivea Extra Soothing ASB
  • EDT: 4711 Cologne

  • Result: Nice and smooth BBS shave. Did nick myself at each corner of my mouth on the first pass. Didn't have the razor tightened down the whole way. Dummy me. I am amazed with the MWF. For me it lathers so easily and makes a rich and slick lather. It would be my favorite soap if it had more of a scent. Still I look forward to using it.

Friday

Evening shave before work's party.

Gillette Gold Tech
Gillette Platinum "Swede"
Simpson's Best Badger Special
TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream
Nivea Extreme Comfort asb
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

This is the only the third time that I've worn Blenheim Bouquet, and I have to say that it's growing on me. Unfortunately, the scent tends to make me hungry, I think it's the black pepper notes!

Saturday

Midday shave to aid hangover recovery.

Gillette Gold Tech
Gillette Platinum "Swede"
Simpson's Best Badger Special
Musgo Real Shaving Cream
D.R. Harris Marlborough a/s
Nivea Extreme Comfort asb
Penhaligon's English Fern

Was actually up and having breakfast quite early, but went back to bed as somebody had fitted a G-clamp to my head. I'm not expecting sympathy - the drinks were free, and I can't handle it as well, these days (not that I ever could).

Anyway, the Musgo cream is really nice. I like the "old" scent; it smells like something your Grandfather may have shaved with, and the lather is similar to a thick MWF lather. Might be because of the lanolin.
