Saturday

Wapi 5/8

Futur
Gillette "Swede"
Simpson's Best Badger Special
TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream
Nivea Extreme Comfort asb

Only the 2nd time with the Wapi, and was a bit braver. Finished off with the Futur.

  • Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
  • Brush: ER C40 Boar
  • Soap: HoneyBee Spa's Ye Olde Barbershoop
  • Razor: '25 Gillette NEW Standard - Gold for face & Braun 7526 Electric for the head
  • Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (shave 3)
  • Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
  • A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & Clubman Club Complete ASB
  • EDT:Nine Flags Manzanilla from Spain Cologne

  • Result: BBS. No blood. The Ye Olde Barbershop is my favorite scent. Just brings back memories of the barbershop when I was a kid. Hey, haircut was 75 cents then. Use the electric on the head for a quick change of pace.

Saturday:

Razor: Gillette NEW w/fat Tech style handle
Blade: FEATHER
Brush: Burma-Shave natural bristle
Cream/Soap: C.O. Bigelow (Proraso green)/ Williams Mug
A/S: Mennen Original Skin Bracer
E/D/T: none

Roger

This Gillette NEW and the Feather make an excellent combination for me. The NEW has the straighter comb teeth and a fat Tech style handle, but I believe this all came together originally. So it has the look as a prototype for the early Techs.

Good morning. Saturday:

Aristocrat w/IP
SR 3824
Tryphon Violet cream
Blenheim Bouquet soap
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel
Harris Pink

Decided to give the Tryphon another try as it had been a while since the last use and I had re-read some old posts here and at another site regarding it. Two strokes with the razor was enough. Rinsed off, relathered with the Pen's. Oh, what a difference quality makes.
Best,
Chris

An interesting yet pleasing combination of scents today...
