My version is from Walmart for $8. It is 48 inches long and is 91% nylon and 9% polyester. There are no seams are raised edges. It has a soft, slick, pliant feel but also feels thick and substantial. It doesn't stretch or cup when held taught. It has two D-rings sewn in a loop at one end to serve as a buckle.
I looked at webbed belts at Sears but the Levi belts there were $15 and didn't look or feel better for my purposes. Fabric replacement strops at SRD are only about $10, but I wanted something narrow and long.
I pasted it with a cotton ball dipped in CrO powder and looped it over a closet rod. So far I am pleased with the results. I have stropped some blades upwards of 30 laps and haven't fried an edge yet.
In the photos below the belt is shown laying across two SRD fabric replacements and a Tony Miller canvas strop.
