La Toja Manantiales
La Toja Manantiales
Anyone tried this yet? Thoughts? Got to order a couple of soaps soon as I am starting to get low. Curious about this one. Don't know why as I typically stay pretty close to what I am use to.

La Toja Manantiales is one of the best veggie based soaps that you can find on the market, with Martin de Candre and a couple frenchies more (ok, the Edwin Jagger/Trumper ones are good too).
Its totally made in Spain (the soap and container) while La Toja stick is made in Slovakia. This La Toja Manatiales has one of the original formulations of La Toja sticks while they were still made in Spain, and has more concentration of mineral salts than the stick. Also doesnt contains coconut acid like the actual formulation of the shaving stick, which its an ingredients that could be a cause of itchiness for some people.
For me perform much better than the actual stick and (again, this is my perception of it) its lather and skin care properties are close to those old tallow based shaving soaps like Yardley,Old Spice,Gibbs n53 and so on.

That was my experience as well. I used it once and promptly sold it on the B/S/T/Flash G wrote:It burnt like hell.

That makes sense. I must be one of the lucky few.CMur12 wrote:
I've read on the Iberian forums that some are sensitive to the mineral salts.
