Wow...did you clean them out? That's the most important question. Give those beauties the home they deserve!

You know, Doctor, I'm growing a little tired of Plisson. Not only has the quality of their brushes...hair and handles...deteriorated over the past few years, now they seem to be trying to raid mens' wallets with special edition brushes which have no apparent added value as working kit. Looks like they might be creating some nice toilet brushes.

Is that 2 or 3 band? I find the single bands just too scritchy.

I found this €650,- bicentennary brush standing near those cheap toilet brushes in a drugstore in the city of Mechelen.
As you can clearly see from the pictures the owner hadn't even looked after/cared for this outrageous expensive specimen since the lid of the box was resting on and thus flattening the loft...

Both shocking and hilarious to get confronted with... 8)

I bought a vintage Plisson that is fantastic (from the 70's or 80's) and thought that the newer Plisson brushes would be just as good. I bought a newer brush and was pretty disappointed. The old brush is extremely soft and has wonderful backbone. The newer brush was soft, but was missing the backbone. As much as one would pay for a newer Plisson, it should "all" be there....

The day I find a forum discussing toilet brushes at the level of detail that we discuss shaving brushes, I'll be on a rocket ship looking for a brushless planet to colonize. Either that or I'll die from laughter.

Seems ironic that this thread ended up next to the "wee Plisson" thread. What is it about the French and lavatories?
