Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: 1954 Gillette Tech
Blade: Astra Keramik
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two Band
Soap: P.160 Tipo Duro
A/S: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel/Proraso Balm (old formula)
Another fine shave with mostly out of production hardware and software. Many wet shavers seem to think the Gillette Tech is “too mild” for them but the Tech, with a good blade, is a very good shaver for me. It’s only fault for me is that the handle is shorter than I prefer. However, that makes it a good, compact razor for travel, with the added bonus of being cheap and easy to replace. I don’t use it often but when I do, I’m always impressed by the “mild” little guy’s performance.

Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil
Georgetown G4 scuttle
Somerset Simpson Classic 1 Best (22/42)
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet shaving soap (vintage)
Gillette Tech/iKon Bulldog
Gillette Platinum Plus (2)
Thayer's unscented witch hazel with aloe
Penhaligon's Lords cologne
An excellent shave. I was slower and more careful with the Tech, and it was somewhat smoother.

Monday:
RR Little Bastone
Polsilver Super Iridium
Thater 4125/2 Two Band
RazoRock Santa Maria Cream
T&H UC Balm
T&H Grafton
Max
The S. Maria is not a croap/soap like the other RR products but a true cream with a soft eucalyptus scent. Rarely use this word but it truly is an 'awesome' cream in all respects.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Techarooney (Gillette Tech head/Rooney Chatsworth-style handle)
Blade: Gillette Super Thin
Brush: Omega 31025 "Scarlatti" Boar
Soap: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel/La Toja Classic Splash
My shave yesterday was so good that I decided to use the Tech again this morning, but with a different handle and blade. The result was a superb, comfortable, BBS shave. The longer handle just felt better to me; I’m not certain that it had any effect on the shave, though. The Gillette Super Thin blade did make a difference, I think. For me, the GST is sharp and buttery smooth, and it brought out the best in the Tech.
