Actually Gordon, a capfull of distilled water every 6 months or so has pretty much kept it like new. The trick is to never let it get too dry and let it rest a week or so after every hydration.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE87
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Omega 31025 "Scarlatti" Boar
Cream: Fitness
A/S: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel/Proraso Balm

The Fitness “cream” is more like a cream/soap or soft soap, with a light cherry/almond scent. It works well for me, with nice glide and cushion. This morning’s shave was excellent!
