It looks just like my nickel/chrome Super Speed but I didn't know they had any in gold or polished brass.

Is this a gold/brass 40's Super Speed?

I didn't know these came in gold. I do want a gold razor.
I want to spend some time and get used to shaving with my SS and then pick up something.
I am still thinking about the gold merkur HD, I have also seen that Gillette made a gold aristocrat razor.
I would like something with a thicker and longer handle than the SS if that is possible.
I need to get used to shaving with the DE type razor, I have noticed with the SS that it leaves stubble in certain areas of my face. I need to learn how to hold the razor properly for the different areas of my face. I want to get all of this down before I start switching up to different equipment.

Yep, it's Milord. I have one already (I hate gold stuff but I wanted to try 40s SS) and the box is different - it looks similiar to this one
