I say never look back. Just be happy with your purchase, and enjoy it to the maximum.

Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
Thanks Gary, Been DE shaving now for about 4 months now and really got the hang of it. I have a Merkur 34c and a Mergress Adjustable. Both give me a GREAT Shave. Wanted to get a Vintage Gillette and a lot of you guys here like the FatBoy so i'm giving it a try.brothers wrote:I say never look back. Just be happy with your purchase, and enjoy it to the maximum.

Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
Vintage gillettes have gone up so much since I picked mine up 8 years ago. Like the man said it is not too much if that's what it is worth to you.
Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
Hey Wendell, They really are going up. I've been watching and do see that. You are one of the Guys I noticed really likes he's FatBoy.
Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
Indeed I do. My adjustable a get most of my shaving attention these days.
Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
If it's in good shape, and you don't like it after all, you can sell it for about what you paid. If it's not in good shape, return it to the seller for a refund. eBay and Paypal have pretty serious buyer protection.
Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
O YA, Seller emailed me with Tracking #. Its on the way.
Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
Seems about right to me/ I paid 40 for one and 80 for the other/flintlock wrote:hi all, I was looking at a Vintage fatboy for $60 buck the other day. Looks Great. Is this to much to pay?

Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
Hi all FATBOY Should be here Thursday. I'll post it then.
Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
Here's a few pictures of my First Vintage Buys. Gillette "Fatboy" F-1 & "Flartip" C-4. Really like them. Fatboy has some Plate issues on one site of Blade cover.
Can Shave with the Flartip though. Think I mite re-plate the Fatboy. Works really well. Thanks for looking and tell me what you guys think.

Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
I've been looking just for fun and I think you've gotten a steal as yours has a case. i paid a little over $30 a year ago without a case and I'm watching several right now that don't look as good as mine going for close to double that. Enjoy and give us a report as soon as you can.

I agree -- getting the case was a true bonus ....... any of us fatboy owners would love to have one ourselves.
Re: is $60 Bucks to much?
So, is the discoloration actually a loss of plating, or maybe it's something that might be removed with a careful polishing with a proper low abrasive substance that won't scratch the surface?
