Who Likes Oud?

Who likes the scent of oud? I bought a tub of oud-scented shaving soap and the scent surprised me. This particular oud hits me with petroleum and Bandaid with maybe spice and wood underneath.

What does oud smell like to you?

I have a nice oudh from L'Artisan Parfumeur, but my favourite is a blend made by a friend (RIP) of oudh and incense. Very rich.
Oudh, to me, smells the way I imagine an old oriental bazaar to smell. Sweet, earthy, organic. Certainly an acquired taste.

Interesting, Dr. Moss. I think I'll need to experience more examples of oud before I get a handle on the scent.
