Scott - thought you were selling the CH2 after having been disenchanted by the density of it. Or are you giving it another chance?
Andrew, I decided to give it another chance but it's not looking too good. It is a quality brush but just not my type of brush it seems. I have an E2 2-band on the way to replace it. I'm hoping the E2 will be closer to my Grosvenor LE, which is my dream brush.
Best,
Scott

Simpson Emperor 3 Two Band
Kolynos Shave Cream
Moss Scuttle
1947 Aristocrat
Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (black)-sample
Generic witch hazel
Azzaro pour Homme AS

The Aristocrat is definitely more aggressive than my other SS's and also more aggressive than the Mühle razors with the new head (R89 etc.)

Ah, poor CH2 not gettin' the love! It's not for everybody. I get it. The CH2 is DENSE. Good luck with the E2!

Thursday, Prep: 28-minute soak in swimming pool during workout.

Fat-handled Tech
7 o'clock Yellow, 1st shave
Old Spice Sensitive in the can
Thayers Lemon
Body Shop Razor Relief, <2008 formula.

Three passes plus touchup, and still not as smooth or as close as I got yesterday in three passes with a Polsilver in a Super Adjustable.

This blade may get a trial in the Super Adjustable before it expires, but it's just not as smooth as some other blades I like. I have a small stash of these Yellows (30), and I'll use them up eventually, but not on a regular basis.

Vulfix 374 Super
TOBS Almond Shaving Cream
Merkur HD/Derby Extra
Thayers Witch Hazel w/Aloe
Weleda After Shave Balm

Shook out the last of the Weleda Balm from the bottle this morning and have to say this is a very good natural product, I will replace it in a short while once I get through a bit more of the other products in my drawer.

Fine shave this morning with TOBS Almond and the trusty HD/Derby combo. I used the brush to make a good lather and then applied by hand for the first pass, worked perfectly fine.
Good shaving,

Gary
