Simpson Tulip 2

Wilkinson Sword
D.R. Harris Sandalwood Aftershave

A bit odd mix of scents, but the weather was quite gloomy and I felt the need for something warm to get the day going :)

Friday morning:

VDH Deluxe
Semogue 1438 boar
Gillette Slim set to "magical" 9
Vintage Schick Plus Platinum (4)
Kramperts Finest Bay Rum

After someone posted about having troubles lathering VDH (on another forum) I had to use it today to see if there was something I did with it that slipped my mind. No, it's pretty easy to lather w/o special tricks or techniques. Not a dripping brush, work up a paste, then lather on the face adding water as required. Absolutely straighforward.

Anyway, one fantastic shave. I forgot how good VDH was in using other higher priced soaps/creams.
