MUSIC:
Red-Headed Stranger - Willie Nelson (vinyl)

Hot Shower
Issy's Bay Rum & Guinness Stout Bath Bar
MB’s Peppermint/Rosemary Shampoo

4” Coors Mortar
Vulfix #2233 in Super
Mama Bear Cold Pressed Lavender Shave Soap
1948 Super Speed w/ Fresh IP
3 passes
NO Styptic Pencil
WWR
CWR
Alum Bock
CWR
MB Summer Ice Menthol & Lemongrass AS Milk (w/extra menthol)
MB British Leather EdT

Pinaud Eau de Quinine Hair Tonic

First use of MB's new cold pressed soap. The lavender scent is intoxicating, one of the boldest lavenders I have tried. I had some trouble working up a lather using my normal technique. This may be solved with experimentation. The lather I did get this morning was rather thin, but it lubricated very well. My normal 3 pass shave resulted in a BBS shave with no irritation, weepers, or nicks

It's a new type of soap for me so I will be using it all week to fine tune my methodology.

Have an outstanding day!
Jay

Tuesday:

First shave since Friday morning....

Gillette Fatboy w/ new IP blade
Bic Metal for upperlip
Plisson Black #10
Plisson -Matin Ambre- Thanks to SteveK for the samples.
D.R. Harris Pink a/s splash

I tried the New Formulation Plisson cream last Tuesday with excellent results.
This morning, I tested the Matin Ambre (original formula) sample and again I found myself having a wonderful smooth, irritation free shave.

I am going to be alternating these creams over the next 2 days to try to get a good comparison. So far, I have no problems with either of them.
The original formula (Matin Ambre) was a bit more difficult to lather but the Plisson brush can tame any cream or soap.

Have a great day.

Musgo #2

Yesterday I thought I got away with the Sensor incident on Sunday, today the ingrowns came out to play all over my lower neck. Grrrr. I simply cannot get a super-close shave on my lower neck even with a DE. Straights seem to work great as I cannot go against the grain in this area with one anyhow.

Tuesday:

Gillette '58 TV Super Speed / Gillette "Swede"
Caswell-Massey Almond Shave Cream (w/o brush)
Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel

Running very late, so I broke out the old pot of C-M Almond. Very quick shave, very good results. Not the kind of shave you'd look forward to, though.

Richard, Let it go. I'm sure that it's close enough on your lower neck. Razor bumps just won't do, you know.
Regards,
Gordon
