SOTD - September 3rd thru September 9th
Progress/US Personna
Sabrooney finest 1/2
Tabac soap
Lucky Tiger Tonic
I decided to try a US Personna for a while, after not using one in earnest for a long time. They were the first blade I tried, and I was wondering how much of my dislike of them was based on me not shaving well when I began.
I can say that most of me not liking them was due to my bad technique, but not all. I could use them in a pinch, but there are better blades for me (including the Israeli counterpart to this blade).

Ruby Tuesday!
Razor: Merkur Slant
Blade: German Wilkinsons (for the first time)
Brush: Muehle
Soap: D.R. Harris Almond (still forcing myself to make perfect lather, will be using this till I'm a lather Zen-master)
After Shave: Vichy Homme Soothing Balm for Sensitive Skin
Great shave even though I didn't pay very close attention, because I was in a hurry. I am using the same set up for some days now, only switching the blade to find out what works best for me. So far, it seems like the Wilkinson blades performed the best of all blades I've used (sharp and smooth). But I will have to try them for a second time to convince myself of their quality.

wednesday
Razor: Merkur Slant
Blade: German Wilkinsons (second shave)
Brush: Muehle
Soap: D.R. Harris Almond (I'm starting to get the hang on making good lather, today was a breakthrough)
After Shave: Vichy Homme Soothing Balm for Sensitive Skin
I shaved with the almost exact same set-up for some days now, only changing the blade, but I think I'm gonna remain true to those Wilkinsons, because they give me as close a shave as a Feather blade, yet I don't bleed to death afterwards and my face is not at all irritated.
If it holds true, that - as so many of you argue - the English Wilkinsons are even better than the ones made in Germany, I will see to it, that I get some online and try them out.
