Gem Featherweight/Gem
SMF III
Trumper Limes
Thayer's Peach
Nancy Boy Replenishing Gel
Mugso Real No. 2

So my Fatboy experiment was cut short by the arrival of the Featherweight. I'm two shaves in and loving it. Pics will be added to the collector's corner soon.

Monday Night:

Weishi razor
Treet Super Blue blade (carbon steel)

Omega pure badger brush
Tryphon Medici shaving soap

Thayer's Original Witch Hazel (10% alcohol; no parabens; no burn)

I'm giving these Treet carbon steel blades another run. What I observed before was that they were smooth, but dangerously sharp! The Treet blades seem very compatible with this razor, and, combined with a lighter, more careful touch and the protective lather produced by this shaving soap, I got a very smooth, close shave. I am very impressed with both these blades and the Treet Platinum Super Stainless.

Tuesday,

2006 B&B Edwin Jagger
AOS Sandalwood soap
1953 Gillette Super Speed w/ Swede (eight)
DR Harris Pink A/S
Trumper Spanish Leather

Don't know if I've ever pushed a blade to eight shaves before. Maybe my technique has evolved or maybe it is just a special blade, but this thing still feels like it has some life left in it.

First time using AOS soap. Like all AOS products it is overpriced; however, it did work extremely well. As it is a hard, vegetable based, soap it sort of bridges the gap between DR Harris and Col Conk (two of my favorites.)

The AOS soap is actually tallow based.

In that case: As AOS soap smells, feels, and shaves like a vegetable-based hard soap it bridges the gap between Harris and Conk.

Tuesday:

40's Superspeed-American Personna
Vulfix Turnback Travel Badger
Tabac SS
Trumpers Coral Skin Food
Trumpers Sandalwood

Sticking with this setup for the rest of November. Getting great results with the Turnback vs. my 2236. I believe its stiffer and more effective on soaps.
