Pre: Proraso Crema Pre Barba
Razor: Rhodium GEM OCMM + Pella PTFE (3)
Brush: Elite7 Scarlett + WSP HMW 23/50
Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon À Raser (65)
AS: Krampert's Finest Menthol

With the release of the new Fougére shave soap from Martin de Candre this morning (yep, set alarm and ordered at 1:45am) I really enjoyed today's shave using the Signature MdC scent. It's the only scent that I've found I can use and enjoy on a daily basis without tiring of it. In fact, the more I use it the more I enjoy it. For me, MdC is the best shave soap on the planet and I will happily pay the high shipping price to get it. 65 uses (heavy loads) and the soap is just now below the screw-top portion and getting a concave dip in the center.

Tuesday:

Doctored Penhaligon's English Fern Shave Soap
Jagger/CO Bigelow Best Badger Brush
Gillette Super Speed Adjustable O-4
Gillette Platinum (Surrey)
Thayer's Aloe WH
Lily of the Desert 99% Aloe Vera Gel
Crown Fougères Cologne

I took the awful puck of Penhaligon's English Fern that's been gathering dust under my sink and grated it with an older small sized puck of T&H Luxury Shave Soap. I mixed them up well, added a few squirts of English Fern After Shave to the mix, heated them up in the microwave in 10 second intervals, and pressed the mixture into a dish. The result? I'm finally getting good lather from this soap and the EF scent still comes through.

Craig, Real 'shavegeek' stuff that....very creative.
Tuesday:

Gillette Model #58 & Schick Platinum
Simpson X2L Colonel
Barbieria Colla soft shave soap
D R Harris's Pink A/S
Taylors Sandalwood

Normally, at home, I don't use the same brush two days in a row but some have said that using a white soap or cream the next day has helped when they've experianced some brush discoloration so I wanted to get right on this as soon as it happened ( see yesterday's SOTD post ). And it did seem to help. The X2L is back close to what it was two days ago.

Rudy Vey Shavemac Finest
Arko soap stuck
Edwin Jagger DE89BA11
Super Iridium (thanks, Roger!)
Dominica
C&S Oxford & Cambridge

Well, I think I am sort of over Arko. It is drying to my skin when used several days in a row and, while I still think it punches well above its weight, I imagine my remaining sticks will be stored for a rainy day. I have never been let down by a shave with Palmolive, Valobra, or Speick. Arko, well, some days it doesn't quite deliver all I want it to.

By the way, the Iridium was great. Of course.
Regards,
Tim
