Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: 1956 Gillette Red Tip Superspeed*
Blade: Astra Keramik*
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two Band*
Soap: P.160 Tipo Duro*
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel/G.F. Trumper Marlborough Splash*

An excellent shave with some discontinued products (the discontinued items are indicated by asterisks). The P.160 seems to have a cult-like following. Both the Tipo Duro, used today, and the Tipo Morbido are nice Italian soaps but, in my opinion, don't perform significantly better than Cella or Valobra. They do have a nicer scent than Cella, however.

Monday AM 10-01-2012

Shave Secret preshave oil
Georgetown G4 scuttle
Somerset Simpson Case 1 Butterscotch Best (18/40)
Aramis shaving soap (vintage) in an Old Spice mug
Wilkinson Sticky
Wilkinson London Bridge (2)
Hermes Equipage splash aftershave

Another great shave. The Case is like a miniature Chubby: it is densely packed and sucks up the lather. It really is a little too small for my hand, but it works well in the small bowl of the G4, and it would make a great travel brush.

Gordon, interesting as this is a new tube of the GFT Almond and I also have a fresh pot of their Sandalwood. Both are excellent with great consistency. Trumper creams seem great these days.

Max, Indeed. It's quite a relief really. I do wish they'd bring back their old Violet scent but what with the EU nonsense about scent ingrediants that's probably not possible. But I am very heartened by the last few Trumper creams that I've had. And have you noticed, in addition to them no longer putting their address on the lid, they have gone to one instead of double ridges on the rim of the lid? Used to be, Taylors, Harris's, and Coate's used one, Trumpers used two, and T&H three.
