Gave way to lust................ Sold my Somerset era Duke 3 and replaced it with an order for a new Rooney Heritage Victorian.

I hope you like it, Michael - enough so that you don't regret selling your Duke.

Are the heritage brushes back to using 3 band hair?

This is a "stock" photo. My actual brush doesn't arrive from the vendor til mid next week. I used a Canadian vendor who had the best prices plus forum discount.

Nice brush - I have one of these and it has survived many sell-offs in my collection. Very very dense so it has backbone even though the bristle is a soft as silk. Maybe one of the best cream lathering brushes out there IMO. A lovely brush. Enjoy.

These are mildly tempting and always have been due to their long handle. I love the long handle of my T&H turnback and it is HARD to give up.

Maybe one day in a bourbon haze and mid-Summer boredom I'll pull the trigger . . . nah. :)

Michael, I'll be most interested to read your impressions. Reviews of the more recent Rooney Heritage brushes seemed to suggest that they are rather different from the older 'first generation' specimens ( of which I have one Emillion ). So, do let us know.
Regards,
Gordon

Chris...this brush has been bugging me for YEARS.... the fact I sold off one of my most prized to allow Fidelity of sorts with this Victorian really speaks to my desire.

Gordon, indeed I will. Particularly interesting will be that this is NOT a fast seller I would imagine and it came from a Canadian vendor. Who knows what the stock on hand he might have had? perhaps this is one of the original batches? I have maybe seen less than 10 people on all the forums combined attest to owning a Rooney Victorian. have seen some T&H rebranded ones and some Lee Sabini M&F as well. Will update............

Michael, Excellent! Well, of course you're correct; we won't know for certain how long the vendor may have had this particular brush lying about. The Emillion I have is extremely dense. The only brush I've ever used that was even in the same league in this regard was an old Somerset Simpson Chubby. However, some members who have acquired Heritage models more recently have indicated that their brushes are not necessarily particularly densely packed. So, this should be interesting.

Gordon
