Yes, a fox cub. As for a brush - maybe Basil?

Fawlty Towers? Am I getting warm? Honestly, the cartoon resembles a rat more than a handsome young kit, at least to me.

A rat #-o hush your mouth [-X Basil Brush is a red fox puppet and the star of the eponymous ‘The Basil Brush Show’, a very popular and long-running children’s show in the UK. Definitely not Roland Rat or one of his chums.

He/she looks very healthy. Nice to have the natural world dropping in…as long as there are no rabies. We see the occasional fox, but it’s mostly coyotes, raccoons and possums in our garden.

Nice closeups. =D>

I used to work at a place that had exterior security cameras that you could turn and zoom into things of interest. One summer we had a family of foxes living under one of the storage buildings. On the usually uneventful weekend shifts we'd watch them playing with each other. They were adorable.
We also had Northern Harrier Hawks cruising the perimeter of the mowed areas.
