Gentlemen, I have absolutely no intention of selling it...bad manners, indeed! The question was rather tongue in cheek...I was expecting answers like "White wash some water towers"... Honestly, though, I'm not at all sure that I CAN use it. I know that Dr. P uses big brushes...and perhaps ...

But what do I do with it?

I won this brush on another forum for a review I wrote. It's lovely, it really is. Amboyna burl handle with a Mother of Pearl inlay on the butt... But it's got a 30 millimeter knot. THIRTY!!!!! I tried lathering with it and almost drowned...it's bigger than a live badger! (That's a 330ml beer bottle...

I've used this soap stick a few times now, and it is a great preformer. The scent for me leaves something to be desired, and next I shal perhaps try the AOS lavender when I find it on sale. Still, it will not replace my beloved MWF. Serg I'm rethinking my plan to get the stick. I like the fragrance...

FS: 6/8 Sheffield Straight **SOLD**

**BOTH ARE SOLD** Well folks, due to my inability to control my impulse buying, I need to both make some e-cash and some room in my Shave Drawer. So, anybody want a straight? I have here a 6/8 Kropp hollow ground round point. Pictures can speak to condition--some discoloration on the blade, and the...

I did it by using what you call 'the hard way' - and enjoyed every minute! I certainly had a tender face from doing two 3 pass shaves each day, but the learning process was shortened, and since I was determined to get it right I stuck with it. Back in those days the few sources of information about...

Simpsons Bargains

Guys, I just had to share this...

Gary at Shoebox Shaveshop, BI's successor, has some pretty darn good prices on Simpsons. They're tempting even me, and I'm a sworn boarhound...

Re: Car advice...

I am looking to buy a new car but I have no idea what I am doing. Its actually going to be the first time that I am buying a car. I have checked a few dealers and so far I like the mazda3 alot. I checked with Toyota for a car with similar options and price and I actually found that I am getting muc...

Okay, okay, my brush acquisition has been in remission for some time; I actualy use about three brushes on a routine basis. As some have posted on the forum, there are those who have a closet full of brushes who are serious collectors or have a much worse brush disorder than do I. Anyway, even if I...

Whatever it is, beautiful. Bet it shaves like a dream once it gets honed in, nice score. Thanks! I'm worried about the honing...She'll probably have to go to a pro, which means across the pond... Hmmm. Jim, how does it shave, presuming now you've had the time to get it professionally honed? or, did...

Penhaligon's English Fern (Of Course)

Well, thanks to the incredible generosity of our fellow SMFer Evahs (I hope he doesn't mind me pointing him out), I finally got a puck of this soap. My full reaction can be found on my blog (link in my sig, as always) but I think it is safe to say, this soap was worth every moment of yearning, every...

Actually I don't have that many brushes, about a dozen including some unmarked custom ones. What really started this is when I let a friend borrow a brush and he decided he wanted one just like it. All it had was the maker's name (a rebranded brush from a major manufacturer.) I had to back track th...

Indeed you must try it out. Should you cut yourself, I would rate your chances somewhat better if you grit your teeth and tough it out rather than enter some festering NHS Trust hospital and ask for a transfusion. There are reasons why some of us fled the country, you know. A Wapi can give an excel...

Thanks, guys. It's interesting how easy it is on the skin; I'd heard straight shavers say that time and again, but I never really believed them. Even today when I made some mistakes and got some irritation, my skin recovered quickly and now looks pretty good (not great like yesterday, but pretty go...
