MASSACHUSETTS (AP) - A rash of recent toiletry-shop holdups has local police baffled.

"I offered him the money from the register, but he wouldn't take it," said one victim who asked not to be named. "He was very polite. He just asked for a bunch of creams and soaps, you know, Taylors, Trumpers. Wouldn't touch the Art of Shaving stuff, though."

One witness described the suspect as of medium height and build, "with just a hint of eastern bergamot and chamomile, layered over delicate floral fragrances--wild rose, or was it violets?--all atop heady base notes of vetiver and sandalwood."

Asked to provide more detail, the witness said, "Well, I can tell you that his face was real smooth, you know? Seriously, it was like someone turtle-waxed a baby's ass."
