Joel, thanks for the review on this small german soap. Is it worth the cost? How well did it lubricate your face?

Eventhough the PJ2 was no help and again was totally worthless the soap developed a good lather and provided a nice shave. Nice stuff. Now all I need to do is throw this annoying little brush in the fireplace!
Nice Hydro magic Joel!

Ron

Nice pics yet again Joel. And by the way before you throw the brush in the fireplace, I think you should give it away to someone if you want to get rid of it so bad. maybe to me :D

Thanks for the pictures Joel.
This looks a lot like the Muehle-Pinsel Soap I bought from Knoxville Cigar!
I bought the Ocean Algae version, and quite like it. The lather looks very much like that in your pictures.
I wonder if they are made by the same company?

They are. Some of the Muehle Soaps are made by Haslinger.

I've tried the Haslinger honey (honig) soap before. It's good stuff. From what I recall it produced a wonderful lather and smelled very good. I would purchase it again if it weren't for the shipping fees and extremely small size. Overally, other soaps seem to be a much better value for the American market. I think you can only get these from Shavemac.

I should add that I would definately pick up a few bars as part of a larger purchase (I.e. a group shaving brush) :-)

I too bought a couple of these on a lark when ordering something else from Shavemac. I concur 100% with the previous comments: Good quality soap, lubricated well, lathered up well (as ably demonstrated by Joel), nice subtle fragrances and well tolerated by my skin. This stuff is well worth the $5-$6 price tag when ordering as an add on with other items from Shavemac. Probably not quite as good as the pricier English stuff, but still more than adequate...

Haslinger appears to be an Austrian outfit:
