Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: 1963 Gillette Slim Adjustable*
Blade: Astra Keramik*
Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Two Band*
Soap or Cream: Penhaligon's English Fern Soap (tallow formula)*
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, G.F. Trumper's Marlborough Splash*

Another great shave with mostly out of production items (indicated by asterisks). When starting to shave in the 50's, my first razor was a Ball-End Tech, my second was a Superspeed, and my third was a Slim, so I have a special fondness for these razors which still perform superbly for me. I just wish I had hung onto the original ones that I used to have.

Monday:

Gillette Model #58 & Gillette 'Swede'
Simpson Duke #2 Best
D R Harris's Rose shave cream
D R Harris's Pink A/S
Taylors Sandalwood cologne

This is probably the 'best' shave cream I currently own in that it takes noticeably less to make more than enough lather. It is indistinguishable from how the best English creams were, say 10 years ago. I can't promise that the pot you might receive would be as good but feedback from a few other members regarding more recent D R Harris's creams suggest that it likely would be. Really good stuff.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Treet DuraSharp
Brush: Vie-Long LE Beehive Natural Horse
Soap or Cream: Ingram Cream
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Proraso Classic Splash

A cooling, comfortable shave this morning. I do like the Ingram cream, even though it can get a little runny in hot weather–it’s not a cream that I would take while traveling in the summer.

Georgetown G4 scuttle
Somerset Simpson Custom Ivory Super brush
Truefitt & Hill 1805 shaving cream
Schick M1 Adjustable razor
Schick Plus Platinum blade (1)
Truefitt & Hill 1805 aftershave balm

After 3 days without shaving, my rash cleared completely, and the shave was very good. I am going to stick with the 1805 products, which I know my skin tolerates well, for several days before changing. I hope to continue that approach, eventually identifying the problem items (probably RazoRock XXX).
