THURSDAY:

Razor: 1966 Travel Tech
Blade: Vintage Schick Super Chromium (#1) **
Soap: D. R. Harris Lavender (tallow)
Brush: TGN Super Badger in Fuller handle
A/S: Witch Hazel, Lucky Tiger F/T & A/S, Nivea "Gel Fluido"
EdT: Swiss Army

**
Interesting note: I had loaded the Schick blade in the razor some time ago, and maybe used it once. But it really pulled today, which I thought was a little odd. Upon close inspection, I found that there were two blades stuck together. And upon an even closer inspection, I found that there were three blades stuck together! Fortunately, I only shaved a portion of my cheeks before discovering and remedying the problem. After that, I got a nice, smooth shave.

Thursday:

Gillette Model #58 & Schick Platinum
D R Harris's H3 Best
D R Harris's Rose shave cream
D R Harris's Pink A/S
Trumpers Spanish Leather

This is the brush on which I first noticed the discoloration issue when regularly using the old Taylors Rose cream a number of years ago. So, I figured, damage done so what the hell. It was a good shave.

Friday:

Axe Chilled Facial Wash
#6 Horsehair
Super Speed/7 AM day 5
Palmolive Cool SC
444 AS Balsam
Osage Rub AS
YSL Pour Homme EDT

As I've said before many times, a better name for this Palmolive Cool cream would be Palmolive Frigid because that's how it feels when you have it on your face. It's the Balkan version of the Palmolive Menthol which comes from Italy. The 444 and the Rubby Dubby helped to make this a wonderful freezing-cold shave!

22 March 2013

Pre: Proraso Crema Pre Barba
Razor: EverReady Streamline
Brush: Elite7 Scarlett
Soap: Antica Barbieria Colla Bitter Almond (ABCBA) Italian soft soap
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask

Image

Yesterday I received my split of ABCBA. I'm reserving my full thoughts until I use it a few more times and compare it to staples like P.160 & Vito's Extra. Also, as others are doing I don't want to ruin your first experience with it.
