Re: Soccer/Futbol
I’m with you Gareth: I much prefer Rugby Union over Association Football, not to mention American Football...ugh!

Gareth, that's the answer I needed. Thanks, that makes a lot of sense to me! Both of these teams are winners!Gareth wrote:Gary, it’s a unique peculiarity of the English Premier League where a draw can sometimes be celebrated as if it were win. The British do, after all, love nothing more than an under-dog.

Re: Soccer/Futbol
I watched the Futbol in Ireland and Australia. I like theirs better than our Football. It won't get a chance in America because there is too much action! Not enough time to sell products. Theirs Isn't loaded with penalties, injuries, and time outs. Every time the opposing football team gets momentum, a player gets injured and lays on the field for sever minutes, then he sprints off to the sideline. In Futbol they wear almost no protective gear and rarely get injured!

Watch some rugby (Union or League) if you want hard hitting action with no protective gear, time outs, etc. It’s a great game to play and watch and is played around the world. Of course, there is always Aussie Rules if you want pure insanity.Bobwhite wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 1:46 pm I watched the Futbol in Ireland and Australia. I like theirs better than our Football.
