Ours are three and half years apart (5/30/01, and 11/22/04). The benefit of the college thing only occurred to us after the fact. Of course, being as how they both have the laziness gene on both sides, there's no guarantee my son will be done in three years...

The five year spacing option is very popular in quite a few European countries, but not as common here in the US in my experience.

We have three children. They are gapped by 3-4 years. It has worked really well for us. We never had 2 in diapers, nor did we have two at the same troubled teen stage.

Spacing of your children is so personal. I know that we couldn't have handled them any closer, but also know plenty of folks who have faired rather well with their children 18 months to 2 years apart.

Well it's official. Due September 15th, 4 days before my birthday. My first son was 4 days late so it's possible that we have the same birthday. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

That's exciting for you Johnnie...My son was exactly one week after my birthday. I celebrated my day on Friday and the next Friday just after midnight he celebrated his actual birth day. \:D/

I dont have any kids (Thanks goodness, I'm only 19 :-D), but my brother and I are about 20 years apart. Well, half brother, but that still counts :)
