:!: :!: Group buy? Quattro Power blades 4/$3.98 !!

Howdy,

While I love my straights and DE they don't travel well and I can't afford a travel strop, therefore, alas, my travel razor is my old schick quattro.

so much to my astonishment my local Albertson's is discontinuing stocking the ones that are white ('power' with coated blades that are claimed to be sharper than the normal black quattro blades) in the orange box.

So they have 4 packs of these blades marked down from $11.98 to $3.98 and they seem to have quite a few packages (more than 10, but they were buried in a locked cabinet so I can't be sure, but certainly more than a few).

So I bought one other item and six packages (24 cartridges) and the total cost was $30.24 and the lady that rang them up said "you saved $50 on your purchases today."

Anyway it's virtually never that this quality cartridge is on sale at all, let alone at like 70% off.

Anyawy if people can commit some cash I will go back and buy the remaining quantity of them. I figured I'd stock up since I'll never see them this cheap again. Sensor excel blades cost over twice as much as this deal.

So, anybody willing to commit some cash? I'd much prefer large orders since I don't like going to the post office... Contact me at smf [at] fouronefive [dot] com and let me know if you're interested, also post in this thread so others know.

Am I tripping to want to stock up on these? I think this is easy money on eBay if nothing else, selling a bulk lot...

I don't want to commit another $100 unless there is interest. I'll figure out pricing/shipping if people are interested...

PS i can't make any guarantees about whether or not they'll be cleaned out of these before I can get back there if people are interested...

Unfortunately, you might not get any bites around here. I don't know if anybody reported good results from the Quattro.

On the other hand, this might be an eBay opportunity for you, if you like answering silly questions, packing up blades and going to the post office.

That's OK with me; I like the quattro better than any other cartridge I've used (never used the new gillette 5 blade thing) so it was good for me, but it'll be easier for me if I don't bother with it; i just though since this forum has helped me a fair bit i'd mention it...

well, at least i'm happy; i have enough (24) blades to last me for several years of traveling shaves now...
