  • Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
  • Brush: The "Ever Roddy 300" an Ever Ready 300 refurbished with silvertip badger knot by "The Knotty Badger"
  • Cream: SCS Avocado Oil
  • Razor: '12 GEM Jr Standard Handle - Gold
  • Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coate SE (shave 7)
  • Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
  • A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & SCS Avocado Oil ASB
  • EDT: SCS Illusion

  • Result: A BBS shave today but it took a bit of work. The Pella Blade had to work hard to provide the BBS. The Illusion EDT was a sample. Don't know if I like it enough to buy a bottle. Do love the SCS Avocado scent though.

Sunday shave:

Merkur Slant with Derby
Rooney 3/2 Super
Geo. F. Trumper Coconut Oil SS
J&J moisture lotion
Geo. F. Trumper Wild Fern cologne

I predicted, when I first got this brush, that it couldn't be a daily shaver because it is too dense and scrubby. I don't know if my face is just getting used to it or if the brush is 'breaking in' a little more, but I've used it every day for the past week or so and it's working great. I am craving a smaller knot size, though, and I find myself dangerously lurking the Rooney section at VB. It's inevitable, really. I'll have a new brush pretty soon.

Late '40's Super Speed
Derby blade
Mennen Skin Bracer

The VDH works well in the very hard water on the Central Coast. Need to remember that for future travels.
