+1 on that, Phil. I also highly recommend the Pusser's lime aftershave. It's a dryer scent but very refreshing.

That is a new one for me. Thank you for the tip.

I've posted a picture of an old bottle of limes that I purchased circa late 80's. It was not described as an aftershave or cologne. Check out the bottom of the label.

Limes was used in the shops during the Summer months as an aftershave/ cologne, and would be used to scent the hot shaving towels.

Bill

Bill, Could you post a picture of the whole bottle? Yes, the Trumpers Lavender Water used to be labeled similiarly.

KAV, Yes.

Gordon,

It's a plastic bottle of 100 ML's. Monty Park handed it to me when I was purchasing some items. It's not a fancy glass bottle. I'm not sure if you want to see it! LOL

I have the Aftershave and use it sparingly. I think the scent is great, even if it is VERY fleeting, but it just burns to much.

How much of a difference is there betwixt the AS and cologne?

I loved this cologne from the very first time I tried it. It's impossible not to because it IS such a classic. Like most others though, it is simply too short lived on me. Lime scented colognes are great whilst the last, and for now at least, I've settled for Taylor's Victorian Limes.

I sprayed some of this on last night and the middle child (she's 4) came in the room a few moments later. The first words out of her mouth were, "I smell lemonade". I then showed her the bottle and she declared, "This is my new favorite!"

A generous splash on the back of the neck is a great way scent to walk out the door with, nothing is fresher.

The large glass cologne bottle still has the vague phrase on the bottom of the label. They are right about a few drops in the bath, it really makes an impression in the humid atmosphere.
