Prayer, Thoughts Appreciated

Feel free to post anything unrelated to wet shaving or men's grooming (I.e. cars, watches, pens, leather goods. You know, the finer things of life).

Good news indeed. We are all glad to hear.

Those of us not near Memphis area are dismayed that we can't attend the Sam/Danny Luncheon.

Thanks everyone. I cut off a couple inches from one of my wife's grandfather's canes and it fits a lot better. Still looking for one that goes with my personality.

Wish we all could get together sometime. What fun it would be.

I'm a latecomer as well. Danny, I'm sorry to hear you're having problems getting around, but I'm glad to hear it wasn't the worst.

[EDIT] I see you already have some canes... [/EDIT]

Danny,

Good that you didn't have a blood clot (coming from one who has experienced the "joy" of DVT and the pulmonary embolism that reared its ugly head afterwards). All the best for your recovery.

Thanks, men. I appreciate the well wishes. I know it could have been worst. I am just thankful to still be around. When I found out about the missed fracture, I was a little upset, but vindicated as well. I knew something was going on in that area.

My doctor said "Danny, I remember when you got hurt and you should be thankful to be alive. Just keep in mind that this all happened while you were doing something you loved. You could have died that day. Well, now it's over. You can't do that anymore. Do what you have to do to move on and enjoy life. If you have to use a cane, then you have to use a cane."

You know, sometimes you have hear that to realize just how blessed you are. The way I look at it, I've just started another collection...vintage canes :D
