I received two responses to my PM from Marco. First, he said great, I'm joining up and am looking forward to joining SMF. Secondly, he writes again to say this:

Re: Interest in Pannacrema on Shavemyface.com
To: brothers
I'm having problems with the catcha, the confirmation code during the registration phase. Now that I think about it, I tried to subscribe before to the forum but this catcha was the reason I gave up!

This must be very discouraging and frustrating for those who might want to join up. Major bummer.

On a brighter note, if anyone's interested, I see that new stock will be available in two fragrances on May 24th.

Yesterday evening's soap of choice was PannaCrema Libanese fragrance. I had just finished off a 100g tub of 3P and my 85g portion of ABC Bitter Almond Italian soaps, back to back. They're great, and those of us who use them know what I'm talking about. PannaCrema (Rome, Italy) ranks in the same little group. The lather was easy and plentiful, this is a tallow soap, and the important qualities I've come to expect in a soap are all there. Marco's going to have more stock on Friday the 24th. It'll sell out rapidly.

After all the hype I got two PC creams. Thus far the lather has been alright, but I find the scents to be very disappointing. And the new tubs they are packed into are too small to properly load my brush. I had a difficult time getting close on my neck with PC Libdano, something that I haven't experienced in a few years. I ended up making too many passes trying to get my usual BBS and irritated my neck as a result. Color me disappointing in PC thus far.

(from my SOTD post)

Regarding PannaCrema, nice post shave feel, long lasting lather, and the woody Libanese fragrance is world class. I have found the PC fragrances (I have 4 to choose from) are unique, and do take a little bit of time to get used to, as does anything different. To my nose, Libanese seems to be a richly gentle variation on cedar wood. (Cedars of Lebanon, thus the name Libanese?) I've used Fumo di Londra a few times also, and when I looked up what it means (London Smoke), I laughed because it is indeed smoky, with a pleasing note of some sort. I'm looking forward to getting the Nemaste and Labdano fragrances sorted out over time.

I've used the PC for the past 2 days, (while awaiting a sample of a new soap I'm anxious to try), first with the Progress LH and Polsilver Super Iridium blade, and yesterday with the Cobra Classic and Kai blade, and both shaves have been excellent, long lasting and smooth.

I clearly need to do more work with these croaps. Maybe it's my very hard water that's causing some issues. Also, I think that transferring the PC to a larger container might help with my loading issues.

The new container sucks. I have soft water so I can lather damn near anything but these new containers really do suck. I have no idea what he was thinking. Mikes is the perfect container IMHO. Wide and simple. I have tried 4 and love them all but have to say that Namaste scent is by far my favorite. It just rocks. The others are woodsy, subtle, and nice.

Overall it is my favorite soap and I never say that. There are creams that top its performance yes but this is an amazing soap and a helluva price to boot.

Panna Crema is back in stock today, January 20th, if anyone is interested in getting some. It doesn't seem to be in stock often, and when it does come up, it goes fast. Excellent shaving soap, for sure.

Pannacrema went out of business and now seemed to be almost forgotten soaps by many passionate tonsors.
