File Cutting and Cast Steel (plus RAZORS!)

Post by drmoss_ca »

Closely related to the production of straight razors in Sheffield was the far larger industry of file making. This video details the production of cast (crucible) steel and shows how files were cut. Fascinating stuff!

We must be on the same wavelength - just last week I was looking at that last video with Billy Hukin in it. I find it fascinating and have watched it again and again over the years.
