Introducing my son to a proper shave (creams & soaps)

Post by nodaktim »

I have finally been able to introduce my son to using a brush. So far he has only used Proraso cream, as it was familiar to him, though he used the canned version before now.

I have offered him some GFT creams in tubes to try out, Musgo Real, T&H Rose cream (tub) and recently ordered some DRH soaps to try out.

He is mostly interested in the Proraso, Musgo Real and now these inbound DRH soaps (Sandalwood and Lavender). He does not seem to have any interests in the others mentioned above at this time.

I also ordered a scuttle from WestCoast shaving to try. As seen here:

Sounds like good progress with you son, Tim.

The scuttle looks pretty nice, too!

My son tried using his EJ Best badger and the D. R. Harris Sandalwood shaving soap this weekend for the first time. Overall, he says it went well. He likes the scent of the sandalwood and did not care for the scent of my lavender one.
