Attention C&E Almond fanciers

Post by bernards66 »

Evening, I just stopped by the local T J Maxx store, and there I spied six of the new style glass jars of C&E Almond shave cream, boxed, for $7.99 apiece. Also keep in mind that Marshalls are ultimately owned by the same folks, I believe, so, they also might have some. Happy hunting.

Gordon,

I'm quite surprised! I mean, well, ahem, I never knew that you were an enabler!

Guess I have one more stop to make on my day off...

Thank you Gordon. Although I was not optimistic, I stopped by my local T.J. Maxx in Zanesville, Ohio, and to my surprise they had three tubs of the Almond. I bought all three. I do believe that this cream is my new favorite.

P.S. I am still enjoying the bespoke Vufix Silvertip. It is my "go to" brush.

Mike, Glad that you were able to profit from my little tip, and that you're getting good use out of that bespoke Vulfix White. It's really quite an impressive brush, and lathered like all get out.

T.J. Maxx in Kendall area outside Miami had 5 jars and 2 candles of Sandalwood. After I left they were down to 2 jars and 2 candles. So what was the difference between the glass tub and the plastic tub? I vaguely remeber someone saying it was a different formulation.

Thanks Gordon!

I have plastic tubs of Sweet Almond Oil and it's exaclty the same ingredients as what is in the glass jar. I thought that the difference in the packaging is about volume of the contents only.

The TJ Maxx in Manhattan's 6th Avenue had plenty of C&E Sandalwood candles but no almond shave creams. I'm guessing someone cleaned them out. :( Maybe one day.

T.J. Maxx in North Miami Beach is missing the 3 tubs they had before. A friend of mine who I helped get him started decided he needed them.

TJ Maxx in Gwinnett-Stone Mountain had two jars but also had four Sweet Almond shaving soaps. I picked up one of the two jars, might go back this weekend for another. Thanks for the tip.

I always strike out at the Austin store I go to. There's a Marshalls right near my house but last time I went there I couldn't even find any mens fragrances.

Nothing ever in Orange County, CA. I've checked a few MULTIPLE times. Nothing interesting. Not even in the men's fragrance section.
