Cologne recommedations
I love my Pinaud Clubman but it is long lasting. I was wondering if anyone knows of a cologne that complements it?

"Hello Floyd, this is Barney Fife. Who's in the chair...well
get rid of 'em. I'm coming over and I'm ready for action!
That's right, I want the works...shave, haircut, witch hazel,
O.D. cologne, toilet water...If it smells I want it!"

Clubman followed by Special Reserve? Those two scents clash in my nose, but thanks for the idea.

Jay, consider YSL Rive Gauche PH. This or some of the big fougeres from the late 1970s or early 1980s should do well - Paco Rabanne, Azzaro PH, etc. Similar old-school fougere with ambery undertones.
I would agree that Special Reserve would clash.
Also, a dark horse but very inexpensive is Fred Hayman Touch for Men. Discontinued but goes for cheap on eBay and some of the online scent discounters.
Best,
Tim

I'm glad to see someone else here likes Paco Rabanne.TRBeck wrote:Jay, consider YSL Rive Gauche PH. This or some of the big fougeres from the late 1970s or early 1980s should do well - Paco Rabanne, Azzaro PH, etc. Similar old-school fougere with ambery undertones.

I've got some Canoe coming from a forum member, so I'm going to give that a shot.

Hermes Equipage Cologne. I have used this since about 1970 ... when it was introduced in Europe and later in North America. Originally, it was a full line of Equipage products but seems to be down to only colognes and after shave. I still have 14 bars of Equipage soap that I use sparingly and am not sure I will be able to find any more after these are finished ... about 3 - 4 years from now but I am 81 and may not be here then so I use it daily.
I've been using the Canoe and like it. A little goes a looooong way!cryhavoc wrote:I've got some Canoe coming from a forum member, so I'm going to give that a shot.
