I am thinking of trying a synthetic brush, after using badger brushes for more than 25 years. What is the difference between the two? Do they both lather equally well? What is a good brand of synthetic brush? Is Simpson's platinum a good synthetic brush?
Thanks,
Steve
Synthetic brush vs Badger brush?
Re: Synthetic brush vs Badger brush?
Hi Steve. As you can imagine, in this forum there are dozens of pro and con posts. In most instances, it's all about which brushes and how well they satisfy your own experiences. If you are reading many of the comments regarding brushes (and all the other related stuff) then you are probably going to spend some time and money as you work your way through. Best wishes!Steve wrote: Thu Sep 24, 2026 8:09 am I am thinking of trying a synthetic brush, after using badger brushes for more than 25 years. What is the difference between the two?
