Gordon, I was talking to Bill at my office this morning and he mentioned that you hit 10,000 post. That in itself is a great achievement. However when one considers the quality of your post, it’s a world class achievement. I don’t know anyone who contributes so much knowledge to the hobby of wet shaving. If they gave a PhD for wet shaving you would be given an honorary degree.

Thanks for all that you contribute to SMF and the wet shaving community.

Congratulations Gordon! As I said in another thread, even more remarkable than the number of posts is that you have something of substance to say in everyone of them. Well done!

Gordon a gentleman who conducts himself with style and grace....with a thread of dandy/rake running throughout.... Add my sincere best wishes to those who have stated so well before me. Gordon's posts often bring a smile to my face on an otherwise dreary day.

Gordon, let me add my congratulations for your unparalleled achievement -- and my thanks for your patient and continued involvement with us who are still learning about wetshaving.

Gordon,
You are not only a gentleman, but possess the highest signal to noise ratio I've seen on any forum. Keep up the good work!

Gentlemen; thank you all, each and every one, for the congrats., it is sincerely appreciated. And to SMF in general....I mean, how many other places would one be so well thought of for blatantly obsessive/complusive behavior ( chuckle ). It was especially nice to hear from some of the gents who go way back on these forums with me; Bob, Peter, Sam, Rich, and some others. Well, now it's time to get back to 'work', and see if I can hit 20,000 before Peter reaches 500 brushes, lol.

Gordon

Having met Gordon face to face (his face, of course, perfectly shaven every time) I can tell you he's a fount of knowledge beyond what these 10,000 posts contain. An asset to SMF, and an asset to Tampa to boot.

I was so enthusiastic after a few weeks of wet shaving that I posted advice and opinions about any and all questions here, plus insightful reviews of razors and brushes I had used, well, like, once... It's a blessing to the forum that Gordon was around with his posts, rooted in skill and experience.

Thanks for all the help, bernards66.

Gordon,

Let me add my cheers for your participation here. I know your opinions and advice are always credible and when a thread seems to veer from sanity your voice seems to always bring it back on track. I look forward to your posts.

I remember the first day SMF was open for business. There were only a few of us, Dr. Moss, Mantic, Vince, myself and a few others. I really didn't take this wet shaving business seriously. I'd often make up funny posts and then get reprimanded by Vince telling me how serious wet shaving is. Soon after I was hooked. As SMF struggled to gain credibility, we went a very long time without very many members. You can look at the member list and see how long it took us to get to 100 members. At one point Vince wanted to close membership at 500 assuming that was a large number of members.

I remember telling Vince, 'if we could only get Gordon to join as a member, we'd get instant credibility.' Soon after, Gordon couldn't resist and decided to join. Little did we know he was peeking in the entire time. :P Gordon's wealth of wet shaving knowledge is very impressive and what is even more impressive, he enjoys sharing it on a daily basis. The quality of his posts are second to none and I doubt any of them only contain a smiley face.

Well done, Gordon!
